Our shop is in Bayfield Wisconsin, a cozy little town nestled in a the breathtakingly beautiful Chequamegon Bay on the south shore of Lake Superior. It is the home of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, and its waters afford some of the finest sailing and boating in the United States.

Dozens of buildings of historic architectural importance survive, including our Joanne's building, which was built in 1892 and is on the National Register of Historic Places.

Our mission at Joanne's is to have our store reflect and enhance the timeless beauty, the history and the wholesomeness of Scandinavia and our home on these pristine waters.
